Schwartz Abdul Interviews Annette Dawm

At the end of 2019, I wasn't sure if I would be able to have any interviews in 2020. Thankfully, I have a couple lined up, but as a precaution I wanted to have at least one interview. I thought it would be funny to have Schwartz Abdul interview me, as a joke.

For those who don't know, Schwartz is a Flat Stanley type character that I have been carrying around since 2009. (I have multiple copies.) Before all the celebrity photos, though, there was "Audio Commentary by Schwartz Abdul" in 2007. In high school, I found out that I could change my voice with sound editing software, Audacity. I made a really low voice for myself which I thought was hilarious. I had already drawn Schwartz on a lined piece of paper in my French class and I thought this could be the voice for that character.

At the time, I did the announcements at my school and it became a running joke that I would always have to read when The Sexual Health Clinic was going to be open. I always wondered what kind of person would work there and Schwartz seemed like that kind of person. I made a CD where Schwartz talked about his life and handed it out to friends and put it on MySpace haha. To sum up Schwartz as a character, he is loud, arrogant, openly gay and thinks he can sing (he cannot). He likes to say "y'all" and has an affinity for clock radios.

People have been asking me if I have been doing much with Schwartz lately and the truth is, not really. I used to make sure he was in every celebrity photo, but sometimes things happen so fast that I'm not quick enough to get him out of my pocket. However, he has not left my side in over 10 years, so I invited him to be a guest blogger today. ;) While this interview was mostly just for fun, I answered the questions as seriously as possible and I hope it gives you some insight on what I do.
