When I first thought of how I would do these "One Question With..." videos, I knew I wanted to have different people talk about the same topic per episode. In this one, I asked Logan Staats and Wes Mack about what it was like to have Shania Twain as a mentor.
I was able to experience all three artists at very different times of the year in 2018. It's almost been a year since I interviewed Wes Mack at The Western Fair's Wine and Food Show. For those of you who don't know, I don't drink, so a wine and food show didn't have a lot to offer me-- until it was announced that Wes Mack was coming. This is a happy/sad memory for me, because it was the last time I would ever see my friend, Jodi Orr, who was known as Taylor on BX93. She interviewed Wes and then I had a chance to, which was super fun. Wes also told me about his upcoming movie with Liam Neeson which is only just starting to be talked about in the media now.
Around this same time last January, Logan Staats appeared on The Launch with Shania as his mentor. I already knew that I would be seeing Shania in July because I bought my ticket almost a year in advance, but I didn't know that I would have a chance to interact with Logan in 2018. This opportunity came in November. I found out that he was playing at Fanshawe the week before the show and I immediately asked if I could interview him. They said yes and then there was a terrible blizzard that day. Luckily, I made it! It's cool to see all of these things come full circle. Maybe I'll get to ask Shania about them one day! :)
P.S. I am still figuring out how to do these videos. They are very tedious to make, so hopefully they continue to improve. :)
