After the Show: Drew Gregory and Sharon and Bram

On June 7, 2018, I voted and then I went to two shows that day. The first one I went to was at The Covent Garden Market with Drew Gregory. Fun fact: Drew was the first person I ever saw/met at the market! I wish more people knew how talented he is but maybe that will be more recognizable now that his new album has made it to #1 on iTunes! :) Drew was kind enough to make a little video with me (which you will see soon). Then he asked me what I was up to that day. I said, "Well, I'm here to see you and then I'm going to see Sharon and Bram talk about their career!" He was floored by these two things.

I saw Sharon and Bram do a concert two years ago and I was the oldest non-parent in the room. They sang all their hits, which I unashamedly loved, but this show at The Wolf Performance Hall was even more exciting to me because I'd get to learn how they came together as a group (Sharon, Lois and Bram). But it seemed like I was one of the only people who knew that this was a speaking event with a few songs and not a full concert. So there were some unhappy and tired children in the audience but Sharon and Bram made the most of it and still covered the highlights of their career, sang songs and had a Q&A session. A little girl asked "Where is Elephant?" and the answer was that Elephant was retired now and lived in Bermuda. My friend, Mike sent me this photo of Elephant's retirement party to confirm. ;) (Check it out, it's great!) Anyway, here are some of my favourite photos from that day.

On another note, I recently surpassed 300 000 views on this blog and I haven't posted about it yet because it happened around the same time as a terrible tragedy in my hometown of Chesley. I felt like a light needed to be shone there and it still does. Our community is hurting. If you are able to, please consider donating to the Mitchell/Kramer family. Lindsy lost her home, her husband, and two of her children in a terrible house fire. Thankfully, Lindsy and her young son survived and they have received a tremendous amount of support. However, their needs are ongoing. Thank you to everyone who has already helped out.

Have a great day!
